Obverse description Hammered silver coin of irregular flan showing the coat of arms of Oldenburg, comprising a cross set within the field, surmounted by a crown. The surrounding Latin legend reads ANT. GVN. CO. OL. ET. DEL. D. IN. IE. ET. KN., referencing Count Anthony Günter of Oldenburg and Delmenhorst, Lord of Jever and Kniphausen. The strike is characteristic of early seventeenth-century hammered coinage, with uneven flan edges and moderate relief. Significant wear and patination obscure finer details of the design.
