| Reverse description | The reverse presents a multiline Arabic-script legend in bold, deeply struck relief, arranged in horizontal registers across the field in a manner typical of Afghan hammered rupees of the late Barakzai period. The Hijri regnal or era date 1219 appears in Eastern Arabic numerals centrally within the legend field, likely referencing the Durrani era. Additional marginal and subsidiary inscriptions surround the central text, the whole occupying the full surface of the irregularly shaped flan. The striking is characteristic of the Qandahar mint, with some weakness at the edges due to the handmade nature of the coin. |
