| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing Persian-script legends arranged within a square cartouche divided by horizontal and vertical lines into four quadrants, each containing portions of the royal inscription. The bold, raised calligraphic characters fill the field in the Mughal tradition, with script spilling beyond the cartouche borders into the surrounding circular field. The overall design follows the style of contemporary Mughal-influenced coinage issued by the princely state of Cooch-Behar during the reign of Raja Upendra Narayana (1715–1764). |
