Reverse description The reverse displays a multi-line Persian-Naskh inscription in the field referencing the regnal year of the reign, divided by a horizontal line. A scimitar device appears within the design, serving as a mint or authority symbol. The Devanagari character 'खा' (Kha), standing for Khande Rao, the Gaekwad ruler of Baroda, is incorporated into the field alongside the regnal year numeral. The legends and devices are struck in relief, consistent with the hand-engraved die tradition of Baroda princely coinage of the mid-19th century.
