Obverse description Hammered silver flan divided horizontally by a broad raised line. The upper half of the field bears the Mughal imperial legend in Arabic script, reading the name and titles of Emperor Muhammad Akbar II. The lower half contains the regnal year numerals in Arabic script, flanked by a rosette of pellets to the left and a stylized leaf or floral spray to the right. The overall composition is characteristic of late Mughal-style coinage as struck by the Princely State of Baroda.
