Reverse description The reverse is divided into a three-by-three grid of nine square compartments separated by raised lines. The eight outer compartments each contain one of the eight auspicious Buddhist symbols (Ashtamangala): the Dharma wheel (upper left), the treasure vase (upper center), the golden fish (upper right), the victory banner (middle left), the conch shell (middle right), the endless knot (lower left), the lotus flower (lower right), and a second treasure vase (lower center). The central compartment contains a Tibetan inscription denoting the Iron Tiger year and the denomination.
