Reverse description Central field displaying a multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script arranged in stacked registers, incorporating the mint name Ahmadshahi and the regnal year in the Afghan solar calendar (AH 1272-1273). The reverse follows the conventional typology of Afghan rupees of the Barakzai dynasty, with the mint and date legends occupying the full flan in a manner consistent with the hammered coinage tradition of the period. The planchet shows characteristic irregularity of shape and surface texture associated with hand-struck provincial Afghan issues.
