Obverse description Central field divided by a cross of raised lines into four quadrants, each containing a decorative foliate or leaf spray motif. The overall design is enclosed within a square border formed by double raised lines, with additional decorative elements at the corners and periphery of the flan. Stylised script characters or symbols appear prominently within the central compartment, consistent with the Bhutanese hammered coinage tradition of the period.
