| Obverse description | Central Burgundian cross with firesteels (flints) in each angle, bearing the jewel of the Order of the Golden Fleece suspended at its base. The cross divides the date 15-84 in the lateral fields. A crown surmounts the cross. The encircling Latin legend runs along the periphery within a beaded border, identifying the coin as a product of the Duchy of Guelders struck to the Burgundian standard. |
