Reverse description Central field depicts a fully armored knight on horseback advancing to the left, the horse shown in a vigorous galloping posture characteristic of the rider-type gold coinage of the Low Countries. The knight raises a sword in his right hand and carries a shield on his left arm, rendered in bold relief against a plain hammered field. A beaded inner circle encloses the equestrian device, with a small mintmark or ornament visible in the lower exergue. The circumferential legend in uncial Latin reads MONETA NOVA A RNEMENS, identifying this as new coinage struck at Arnhem.
