| Obverse description | Central field displays the national emblem of Oman — the Khanjar dagger superimposed on two crossed swords — surrounded by radiating sunburst lines. A circular arrangement of small roundels or medallions encircles the central motif, with olive or palm branches at the base. The bilingual legend around the periphery reads 'SULTANATE OF OMAN' in Latin script and the Arabic equivalent 'سلطنة عمان', with the denomination '½ RIAL' and 'نصف ريال' and the dual dating '١٤١٣ / 1993' inscribed in the lower field. |
