Obverse description Countermark of the ONR monogram — standing for José Francisco Osorno — applied within an incuse elliptical cartouche at center of the host coin's obverse field. The intertwined letters are boldly struck over the underlying colonial design. Remnants of the host coin's legend, reading CAROLUS IIII DEI GRATIA, are partially visible around the periphery, along with the date 1805 at the lower portion of the field.
