Obverse description Central device depicts a stylised castle or fortified tower in high relief, rendered in a crude provincial style characteristic of emergency wartime coinage. The castle occupies the majority of the coin's field, with battlements clearly visible at the top and an arched gateway at the base. A circular pellet or aperture appears at the centre of the tower facade. The circular legend reads PROVINCIA DE GUAIANA, with the denomination 1/2 positioned to the lower left of the central device, all separated by dot stops.
