| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Ferdinand VII facing right, rendered in the neoclassical style standard to Spanish colonial coinage of the period. The king's hair is elaborately curled and bound with a laurel wreath, with the drapery of his mantle visible at the truncation. The circular legend arcs around the upper periphery, while the date appears in the lower exergual area below the bust. A toothed border of fine denticles frames the entire design. |
