| Reverse description | Bold Jerusalem Cross (cruz de Jerusalem) with equal arms displayed prominently in the center of the irregularly shaped cob flan. The four quarters of the cross are charged alternately with the castles of Castile and the lions of Leon, following the traditional heraldic arrangement of the Spanish colonial coinage. The cross arms terminate in a plain style typical of the macuquina series. The surrounding legend, where visible on the planchet, references the royal titles and the Pillars of Hercules devices associated with the period. |
