Reverse description A floriated (florenzada) cross occupying the central field, with the quartered arms of Castile (castles) and León (lions) displayed within eight cusped tressures radiating from the cross. A beaded border frames the design, with a partial Latin legend arranged around the periphery. The strike, typical of hammered cob coinage, renders the legend and border incomplete or partially visible depending on flan shape and die centering.
