| Obverse description | Central field features the crowned royal monogram or cipher of Enrique III enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The crown above the device is rendered in Gothic style with floriate terminals. A second beaded border frames the inner circle, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery between the two borders. The flan is irregular in shape, as typical of hammered coinage of the period, with the design struck in low relief. |

| Reverse description | Central field depicts a Gothic three-towered castle, the heraldic emblem of Castile, set within a cusped or lobed inner circle with beaded border — characteristic of the Sevillian mint style of this period. The castle is shown with a central tall tower flanked by two shorter towers, all rendered in relief with architectural detail. Below the castle, within the inner circle, appears the mint mark of Sevilla (S). A second beaded border surrounds the inner circle, with the royal Latin legend distributed between the two borders around the entire circumference of the coin. |
