| Obverse description | Central device features the quartered Royal Arms of Spain — displaying castles of Castile and lions of León in the four quadrants, with a small escutcheon of the Bourbon fleur-de-lis at the fess point — surmounted by a large ornate royal crown. The armorial shield is set within the coin's field without a cartouche. A continuous circular legend surrounds the shield, reading from upper right and running clockwise around the periphery. Small six-pointed rosette stops punctuate the legend. |
