Obverse description	Draped bust of King Charles III facing right, rendered in the armored portrait style introduced by the 'bust coinage' reform of 1772. The royal effigy features laureate hair and truncated drapery at the shoulder. The circular legend reads CAROLUS . III . DEI . GRATIA . encircling the bust, with the mint date appearing in the exergue below the portrait. The entire design is contained within a finely milled border.
