| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborately interlaced toughra (royal cipher) of Abd al-Aziz ibn Saud, rendered in the traditional Ottoman calligraphic style with tall vertical strokes rising prominently above the body of the monogram. Arabic inscription appears to the upper right of the toughra in the field. The Arabic numeral 2 (indicating regnal year 2) is inscribed below the toughra near the base of the coin. |
