| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Hussein bin Talal facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and collar. The portrait, engraved by Geoffrey Colley, is set within a plain field bounded by a beaded border. An Arabic legend curves along the left and right periphery, identifying the sovereign and his realm. The overall style is that of a modern medallic portrait in the mid-twentieth-century tradition. |
