| Obverse description | Draped bust of Naser al-Din Shah in left profile, wearing an elaborate jewelled crown, with a mustache and beard rendered in fine relief. Two cartouches bearing Persian legends in nastaliq script flank the effigy on either side of the field. Stylized floral branches frame the lower portion of the design, rising on both sides of the bust in a decorative arrangement characteristic of Qajar coinage. |
