Reverse description Central field bears a multi-line Arabic calligraphic legend in Nasta'liq script recording the mint name and regnal year. The inscription reads 'struck at Dar al-Mulk Tabaristan' accompanied by the AH date 1257. The legend is arranged across the flan in bold, sweeping strokes characteristic of Qajar provincial hammered coinage. A beaded or dotted border frames the inscription around the coin's periphery, consistent with the Type D series of this reign.
