| Obverse description | The obverse features a bold calligraphic inscription in Persian nastaliq script arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal bar, all within a dotted inner border. The upper register bears the royal title and the name Hussain Ali Shah Qajar, while the lower register carries the phrase 'al-Sultan ibn al-Sultan' along with the AH date 1251. Scattered pellet ornaments fill the field between the inscription strokes, characteristic of Qajar hammered coinage. The coin's edge is irregular, consistent with hand-struck production at a provincial mint. |
