Reverse description The reverse displays a bilingual inscription in Arabic and Devanagari script, arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal line, denoting the denomination 'One Pie Sicca'. The upper portion bears the Urdu/Persian legend in Arabic script, while the lower register presents the equivalent Devanagari text. The lettering is boldly engraved though somewhat roughly executed, consistent with the utilitarian character of early nineteenth-century Bengal Presidency copper pice coinage. The border is plain and the flan is irregularly shaped.
