Reverse description A left-facing effigy of an allegorical Native American woman representing Liberty fills the central field, her hair loosely dressed and adorned in indigenous style. The denomination MEDIO PESO appears to the left of the portrait, while the weight 12 1/2 GRAMOS is inscribed to the right. The word LIBERTAD is placed below the truncation, accompanied by the engraver's initials HP, and the date appears at the bottom of the field. The design is restrained and classically composed, typical of the work of Thomas Humphrey Paget.
