Obverse description Conjoined laureate and cuirassed busts of King William III and Queen Mary II facing right, rendered in the classical style characteristic of John Roettier's engraving. The king's effigy is placed foremost, with the queen's bust overlapping behind. The legend GVLIELMVS ET MARIA encircles the conjoined portraits, with the inscription arranged along the coin's periphery in Roman lettering. The overall composition reflects the dual-monarchy iconography established for the joint reign.

Reverse description Seated figure of Britannia facing left, holding an olive branch aloft in her raised right hand and a long spear in her left hand, with a shield bearing the Union flag resting at her left side. The design evokes the classical allegorical tradition of Britannia as protector of the realm. The legend BRITAN NIA is disposed around the upper field, while the date appears in the exergue below the figure. The reverse follows the standard Britannia type established for the tin and bimetallic coinage of the period.
