| Obverse description | Draped and wigged bust of John Wilkinson, ironmaster, facing right, occupying the central field. The surrounding legend reads IOHN WILKINSON IRON MASTER· in Latin characters, with a beaded border encircling the design. A distinguishing variety characteristic is that the period following the letter R in MASTER touches the frill of Wilkinson's cravat. The portrait is rendered in a formal Georgian style consistent with late 18th-century trade token engraving practice. |

| Reverse description | An industrial scene depicting a male figure standing at right, operating a forge with a large furnace visible in the background, emblematic of Wilkinson's ironworking enterprise. The composition is framed by a toothed (dentilated) border. The date 1787 appears in the exergue, with variety-specific characteristics noting that the numerals 1 and 7 are curved in form and the first digit 1 is positioned beneath the right side of the forge support. The scene reflects the industrial pride and mercantile character typical of Conder token reverse designs of the period. |
