Obverse description Standing figure of Bladud, legendary founder of Bath, facing left, depicted as a hunter bearing a bow and quiver of arrows. The figure is rendered in neo-classical style within the central field. A circular legend surrounds the design, divided at left by an acorn and at right by an oak leaf, which serve as decorative stops separating the two directions of the inscription.

Reverse description A prominent lion-faced tea urn occupies the central field, depicted with a grotesque lion-mask spout, domed and fluted lid surmounted by a finial, and scrolled legs on a stepped base; ring handles are visible on either side of the body. A six-pointed star appears above the urn at the top of the field. The circular legend names the issuer's trade in capital letters around the periphery, while the name F. HEATH and the date 1794 appear in the exergue, separated from the central device by a horizontal line.
