Obverse description Left-facing draped bust of a bearded Druid in profile, wearing a characteristic hooded robe that falls in broad folds over the shoulders. The figure is rendered in high relief with considerable sculptural detail, particularly in the treatment of the long flowing beard. The central effigy is enclosed within an ornamental wreath of oak leaves and acorns tied at the base with a ribbon bow, a motif emblematic of the Druidic tradition. The field is plain and unlettered, giving full prominence to the figural design.

Reverse description The central field displays a large, elaborate interlaced cypher or monogram composed of cursive letters in the rococo style, occupying the majority of the die area. The date 1793 appears at the top of the field within the surrounding circular legend. The peripheral legend reads NORTH WALES HALFPENNY, disposed around the full circumference of the coin, separated from the central device by a thin inner border. The overall design is characteristic of the provincial token series of the 1790s, combining typographic elegance with commercial utility.
