Obverse description Facing crowned bust of King Henry VIII, rendered in the crude but characterful style typical of late Henrician hammered coinage, enclosed within an inner beaded circle. The king is depicted with a broad, forward-facing visage, wearing an arched crown. A circular legend in Latin uncial script surrounds the inner beaded border, reading the abbreviated devotional title of the king.
