| Obverse description | Facing crowned effigy of King Henry V rendered in the ordinary bust style, set within a beaded inner circle. The crown features broken annulets at its base flanking the king's head, a diagnostic feature of Type C. The king's face is presented in a stylised, frontal medieval manner typical of early fifteenth-century English hammered coinage. A Latin legend in Gothic lettering encircles the portrait between the inner circle and the coin's irregular flan edge. |
