Obverse description A seated allegorical female figure, draped and helmeted in the manner of Britannia, is depicted in three-quarter view facing right, resting one hand upon a large terrestrial globe and grasping a tall anchor with the other. A lion's mask appears at lower left beneath the globe, while a building or architectural element is faintly visible in the right field background. The circular legend HALFPENNY. arcs across the upper field, with the date 1794 displayed in the lower exergue.

Reverse description The reverse features two allegorical symbols of Peace and Plenty arranged prominently in the field: a dove in flight bearing an olive branch descends from the upper portion of the coin, while below it a cornucopia overflowing with fruit and produce is depicted. The circular legend PEACE AND PLENTY. arcs around the periphery of the coin, with the word PLENTY continuing along the lower arc of the border.
