Reverse description The arms of Jamaica are displayed centrally, comprising a quartered shield bearing five pineapples on a cross, supported on either side by two Indigenous Taino figures, and surmounted by a crocodile passant atop a royal helm and mantling. A scroll beneath the shield bears the motto 'INDUS UTERQUE SERVIET UNI'. The denomination 'HALF PENNY' arcs along the lower periphery, 'JAMAICA' arcs along the upper periphery, and the date is divided on either side of the shield. A toothed border frames the entire design.
