Obverse description The obverse features a large central circular hole surrounded by a bold raised legend reading KING.GEORGE.THE.SIXTH, with each word separated by raised dots. A St. Edward's Crown is prominently displayed above the central hole at the top of the field. The outer rim is defined by a continuous raised dentilated border. The design is entirely typographic and heraldic in character, with no royal effigy present, as is typical of this holed coinage series.
