Obverse description Uncrowned left-facing effigy of King George V occupies the central field, rendered in low relief. The surrounding legend, in Latin, runs along the coin's periphery and incorporates the date 1920 at the base, flanked by a raised stop on each side. The inscription identifies the sovereign by name and royal title. No crown or additional regalia appear on the portrait, lending the design a relatively plain, classical character typical of pattern-era experimentation.
Obverse script Latin
Obverse lettering GEORGIVS V D.G.BRITT:OMN:REX 1920
