| Obverse description | Draped bust of a monarch facing left, occupying the central field, rendered in a style closely imitating official British regal coinage of the period. The legend GEORGE· ·RULES· is disposed around the periphery in Latin characters. The effigy is unlaureate and simply draped, consistent with the evasion token genre of the late eighteenth century, which deliberately mimicked yet deliberately deviated from genuine royal portraiture. |
