| Obverse description | Draped bust of King George III facing left, rendered in a somewhat crude style typical of evasion token coinage. The effigy occupies the central field, with the peripheral legend reading GEORGE REIGNS arranged around the bust. The portrait is a deliberate imitation of the contemporary regal halfpenny design, intentionally altered in lettering to circumvent counterfeiting statutes. The overall style is coarse, consistent with privately produced evasion issues of the period. |
