Reverse description The seated figure of Britannia occupies the centre of the field, shown in three-quarter view facing left, draped in classical robes and resting upon a rocky shoreline. She extends her right hand forward holding an olive branch symbolising peace, while her left hand grasps an upright trident; a Union shield bearing the cross of St George and diagonal saltires rests against her right side. A small sailing vessel appears on the sea in the left middle ground, adding a maritime dimension to the composition. The legend BRITANNIA arcs across the upper field, with the mint name SOHO inscribed discreetly in the lower right exergue. A beaded border frames the entire design.
