| Obverse description | The obverse features a centrally placed circular hole surmounted by a Tudor crown in high relief, rendered in fine detail with arches, orbs, and cross finial. The circular legend QUEEN·ELIZABETH·THE·SECOND curves around the field in incuse Latin lettering, following the contour of the coin. The design is framed by a toothed or denticulated border running along the outer rim. No effigy of the monarch appears; the crown serves as the sole royal symbol. The overall composition is bold and simple, characteristic of British colonial coinage of the mid-twentieth century. |
