Reverse description A long voided cross pattée extending to the coin's edge divides the field into four quadrants, each containing a trefoil of three pellets arranged in a triangular pattern. The design is characteristic of the Treaty period halfpenny, with annulet stops punctuating the surrounding Latin legend. The legend, rendered in uncial script, names the city of London as the mint of issue and is distributed across the four segments created by the cross arms.
