Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of a male figure, identified by the surrounding legend as Colonel Kirk, rendered in a bold, somewhat crude style characteristic of evasion token coinage. The portrait shows the subject with flowing curly hair and a lace or ruffled collar visible at the truncation. The circular legend COLONEL KIRK. runs around the periphery of the obverse field, with the inscription divided to either side of the bust.

Reverse description A crowned Irish harp occupies the central field, depicted with detailed string work and decorative scrolled footing at the base, surmounted by a royal crown with arched bands. This device is a deliberate imitation of the contemporary regal Irish halfpenny coinage, characteristic of the evasion token genre. The circular legend *NORTH* *WALES* appears around the periphery, separated by ornamental stops, referencing a spurious geographical issuing authority to further evade the Coin Act restrictions.
