The effigy is rendered in high relief with finely detailed classical style, occupying the central field, with no encircling legend.

Reverse description Britannia seated left, holding an olive branch in her extended right hand and a trident in her left, with a Union shield resting at her side; the letters BCC appear on the ground beneath her feet. The central device is encircled by a wreath of oak leaves bearing 17 leaves on the left branch and 18 on the right, with 18 acorns distributed nine to each side; the centre and right prong of the trident touch a leaf of the wreath, and an acorn on a long stalk touches the baseline beneath Britannia's foot.
