Obverse description Frontal crowned bust of a ruler depicted in a schematic, early medieval style, the face rendered with rudimentary features including dot eyes and a broad nose. The crown is prominently displayed above the forehead, formed by stylized prongs. The draped shoulders are visible below the neck, and flanking figures or sceptre-like elements appear to either side of the bust in the field, characteristic of Norwegian penning coinage of the early twelfth century.

Reverse description A bird depicted in profile facing left occupies the central field, rendered in the bold, linear style typical of early Norwegian hammered coinage. A cross appears above the bird and to its right, serving as the principal religious symbol in the design. The flan is irregular in outline, with a flat, somewhat uneven surface consistent with hand-struck production. No legend is present, and the field is otherwise plain.
