| Obverse description | Bracteate type struck on a thin silver flan with an irregular round periphery. A lowercase Gothic letter 'h', serving as the mint initial for Hamar, is rendered in raised relief at the centre of the field. The central device is enclosed within a beaded inner border, itself surrounded by a radiating ray or wedge garland forming a prominent outer border. The overall design is characteristic of late medieval Norwegian bracteate pennings, with the entire composition visible on the obverse face only. |

| Reverse description | As a bracteate, this coin was struck from a single die, resulting in the reverse displaying an incuse mirror image of the obverse design. The central 'h' monogram appears sunken and reversed, surrounded by the corresponding negative impression of the beaded and ray-garland border. No independent reverse design or legend is present. |
