Obverse description Two capital letters, P and B, separated by a central dot, displayed prominently in the field. The monogram is enclosed within a beaded circular border. The style is consistent with medieval Norse hammered coinage of the mid-twelfth century, with simple but bold letterforms characteristic of the period.
