Obverse description Draped bust of Ferdinand III, Grand Duke of Tuscany, facing right, with loosely styled hair tied at the nape and a ribbon bow behind the ear, engraved in the neoclassical manner by Luigi Siries. The effigy is rendered in high relief against a flat field. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading FERD.III.D.G.P.R.H.ET.B.A.A.M.D.ETR., abbreviating his full royal and ducal titles. The coin features a beaded border encircling the entire obverse.
