| Obverse description | Nanakshahi legend in Persian script occupying the central field, rendered in a bold, cursive style characteristic of Sikh Empire copper coinage. A small decorative device, possibly a floral or pellet motif, is present to the left within a cartouche. The flan is irregular and slightly crude in execution, typical of hammered copper issues of the period. The mintless type bears no mint name, consistent with undated Pao Anna issues struck under Maharaja Ranjit Singh. |
