Obverse description Central field occupied by a bold Arabic inscription in fluid calligraphic script, rendered in raised relief against a plain, unbordered field. The legend, characteristic of Hyderabad Nizam coinage of the mid-19th century, is disposed across the flan in a cursive style with decorative pellet ornaments flanking the lettering. The irregular flan, typical of hammered copper coinage of this series, imparts a raw, artisanal character to the overall design. Strike definition is moderate, with some weakness at the flan edges consistent with the hand-struck production technique.
