| Obverse description | Central field bears a stylized effigy of Balakrishna (the infant form of Lord Krishna) depicted in a seated posture, rendered in the characteristic schematic Vijayanagara artistic tradition. The figure is shown nimbate, with a discernible halo surrounding the head, and is flanked by subsidiary decorative or symbolic motifs in the field. The overall design is executed in low relief typical of hammered gold pagodas of the period, with a somewhat irregular flan surface. |
